Restoration & Rejuvenation

Vinyasa Yoga & Meditation

Lead by Carola Donato: A 500h Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, Licensed Physiotherapist and Scuba Instructor.

This retreat is the perfect combination of Vinyasa Flow Yoga, meditation and blue hole adventures on the Island of South Andros, Bahamas. Andros is the island with the highest concentrations of Blue Holes in the world, and we will explore some of these beautiful Blue Holes during your stay here.

This retreat is for you if you enjoy practicing strong Vinyasa Yoga Flows, meditations and unique adventures at sea. The moving practice will be as challenging as you want it to be. We will be doing variations of Sun Salutations and transitions between both traditional and nontraditional poses. To benefit the most from this retreat, we suggest that you have taken a couple of Vinyasa style or flow yoga classes before, but it’s not a must. You can expect to sweat and maybe be a little sore but, most of all, we are going to have a good time! We are not seeking perfection but rather a challenge that will better your body and then finally find peace in stillness – Savasana.

Adventure Awaits

Snorkel Bahamian Blue Holes

Our exploration of the blue holes in the ocean will be done by snorkeling on the surface with mask, snorkel and fins. We will admire the life in and around the blue holes that South Andros is known for. We will adventure out via boat to reach blue holes further south. In order to join us in the water, you must be able to swim. You can also choose to stay on the boat to admire all the shades of blue and green that the Bahamas has to offer. It is truly amazing!

We will explore one of the inland blue holes by walking with an experienced local guide on a separate day!

The blue holes of the Bahamas were created during the ice ages when sea levels were lower. Rainwater dissolved the limestone, carving out large underground caves. When the sea level rose after the ice melted, these caves were flooded. Some of their ceilings eventually collapsed, exposing the shafts to the sky and creating the blue holes seen today

testimonials

"Jesse, Carola and team are welcoming and provide an authentic island experience, with delicious Bahamian food and top notch excursion opportunities"

Andros Beach Club makes you feel as if you’re the honored guest at a wealthy cousin’s Caribbean retreat. Jesse, Carola and team are welcoming and provide an authentic island experience, with delicious Bahamian food and top notch excursion opportunities. My husband’s guided bonefishing trips were bucket list worthy, and my tween/teen daughters and I enjoyed snorkeling and exploring the island’s blue holes with experienced guides. We also had a wonderful day, curated by Jesse, on Exuma where we fed the swimming pigs, snorkeled the Thunderball Grotto and dipped into and out of several coves where conch, crystal clear water and all kinds of fish and sea creatures were a constant. On site, you’ll find beach volleyball, yoga, hammocks and an unspoiled beach to call your own. Andros is fairly rural and welcoming and you feel like you’ve struck gold, finding a hideaway that’s not yet commercialized. It’s a quiet life and a really good one.
